In Kerala we have a catch about max pension which is pegged to that of a secretariat clerk on reaching status of additional secretary, and currently it is Rs.60,000- but the min pay of univ prof is 141000 and we are eligible for 50% or 70500 as basic pension. We need to work hard to get this anomaly removed..I hope that the equating professors and clerk reaching addl secretary is anything but absurd. The govt will now at least get out of the clerk advice and clerk glorification . These clerks live in the present. But we are more in the future and near future.
